What is Bioclear?

The Bioclear method is a non-invasive, cosmetic dentistry treatment that is quickly becoming the new alternative to veneers, crowns, and bonding that can transform your smile in just one appointment. It is a minimally invasive and revolutionary technique that forms a thin shell on your tooth using a dental composite material.

Who are the Best Candidates for Bioclear?

Nearly everyone interested in having a more attractive smile is an ideal candidate for the BioClear treatment. If you suffer from sensitive teeth or gums causing you to not be a good candidate for porcelain veneers, BioClear is a great solution.

What are the Benefits of Bioclear?

There are many benefits to BioClear, and at Drill Dental, we have seen our patients enjoy these results from the procedure:

  • It’s minimally invasive
  • It won’t damage your teeth
  • Less expensive than getting veneers
  • Fixes smile flaws such as chips/ cracks/ stains/ decay damage/ uneven or small-sized teeth
  • Helps close gaps and black triangles in teeth
  • Can be used in conjunction with Clear Aligners treatment to create a beautiful, seamless smile

Bioclear is also completely painless and can be removed if you wish to go with a more permanent restoration or have decided that you’re ready to try something different. It’s incredibly easy to reverse because there is no change in your tooth’s structure.

What’s the
first step?

The first step to getting Bioclear in Boca Raton by our expert dental team will be to book a consultation. During your appointment, we’ll be able to answer questions, give you the details of the treatment, and provide a full examination to determine if this is the best solution for you.

If you and our head dentist —Dr. Alex Gruenberg—both feel that this is the best solution for you, we’ll schedule your appointment. Please follow all pre and post-treatment instructions, as they are designed to ensure we can offer the best BioClear for you.

What to Expect on the day of getting Bioclear

When you come in for your BioClear treatment at Drill Dental, your dentist will begin by having your tooth meticulously cleaned. Your gums will be gently pushed back and the tooth being worked on will be isolated. A tiny, sterilized instrument will then be used to remove any biofilm on your tooth and a cleaning powder is used to remove the microscopic sticky layer accumulated on the surface of your teeth without damaging the tooth’s surface.

Next, a thin Mylar form that will provide the mold for your new tooth surface is selected, slipped under your gum line, and a warmed composite resin will be injected, filling the form. This resin will be hardened using ultraviolet polymerization (light activation).

*Finally, your dentist will further shape and polish the tooth to blend seamlessly with your surrounding teeth.

Bioclear Recovery

There is very minimal recovery time and you will be able to return to work or your normal routine the same day as your treatment. You should make sure that you maintain a proper and healthy dental cleaning routine and avoid chewing or biting hard objects to ensure the longest life for your BioClear restoration.
