You will be asked how they feel before you leave your application appointment so adjustments can be made. Since veneers are very thin, if you have a history of grinding or clenching your teeth, veneers may not be for you. This can be curbed by wearing a plastic dental guard when sleeping, but there is still the possibility of cracking or breaking your veneer unintentionally.

Are Veneers permanent?

How Are Porcelain Veneers Applied?

Next, a mold of your prepared tooth is made. During this time, the best shade of the veneer will be decided on. This mold gets sent to a dental lab to be custom-made. This process unfortunately can take several days, but you may be administered temporary veneers to wear in the meantime.
Upon your next visit, your dentist will make sure your custom veneer fits your tooth. Once they are satisfied with the fit, your teeth will be cleaned and the veneer will be bonded to your tooth.
Any adjustments or changes can be made during future appointments.
