What is a sinus lift?
A sinus lift creates space for additional bone beneath the sinus floor in the upper back jaw. It may be considered when there is not enough bone height for the intended implant. The approach depends on the site and the treatment plan.
A sinus lift and other bone grafting procedures have different purposes. Your plan should name the procedure being recommended and explain why.

What to discuss before treatment
Ask about the graft material, expected healing, alternatives, and the risks that apply to your site. Sinus procedures can involve complications such as membrane injury or infection, and further treatment may sometimes be needed.
