Perhaps old teeth are limiting your ability to eat foods you once enjoyed, or a traumatic injury knocked out or damaged some of your adult teeth. Tooth loss can happen to anyone at any age, resulting in poor oral health, reduced quality of life, and lower self-confidence.
Many people opt for traditional dentures that sit on the gum line, but these may need to be revised for their particular oral situation. Drill Dental Bar is happy to offer an alternative solution to patients in Miami – Anchored Dentures, a stable and permanent fix to your incomplete smile.
Unlike traditional dentures, which sit on the gumline, anchored dentures are supported by dental implants in the gum. Drill Dental Bar customizes dentures to resemble your natural teeth and adds attachments, allowing them to “snap” easily onto the dental implants. The result is a stabilized denture that can still be removed for regular cleaning.
The best candidates for anchored dentures are patients near Miami, FL, who:
Anchored dentures offer our Miami area patients the following benefits over traditional dentures:
If you are interested in receiving anchored dentures, please get in touch! Our office will help you schedule a personal consultation with one of our highly trained and knowledgeable dentists, who will assess your oral health and dental needs, determine if anchored dentures are right for you, and recommend treatment options to help you maintain your new smile.
To schedule a consultation, please book online or call us at 561-576-0010. Drill Dental Bar accepts patients in Miami, Boca Raton, Coral Springs, and the surrounding South Florida area.
Your dentist will evaluate your jawbone structure and gum tissue to ensure you have enough support to maintain anchored dentures. If you have decayed or broken teeth, they must be removed before customizing your new dentures.
From there, we will make an impression on your mouth. Your doctor will create a custom tray, which will help create an accurate and detailed impression of your mouth, down to the underlying bone structure and gum shape.
We will design your smile and bite with a wax try-in using your impression. You will be able to undergo a trial fitting with this wax try-in to ensure your new dentures fit well and feel comfortable.
After final adjustments, your final dentures will be created out of porcelain or acrylic.
The entire process will take multiple appointments to ensure you are completely satisfied with your new teeth.
Upon receiving your new dentures, you should make sure that you take the same care for them that you would your natural teeth. Always make sure that you’re brushing your dentures daily with a non-abrasive denture cleaner. When brushing your dentures, make sure that you brush all the surfaces, including the portion that fits against your gums. Not only will this help maintain oral hygiene, but it is incredibly important when using any kind of dental fixture. Be careful to not scrub too hard because it could cause unintentional grooves on the surface. You should soak your dentures when they are not being used in a denture-cleaning solution. This solution helps remove plaque and stubborn stains that may have been leftover from brushing. It will also disinfect your dentures, giving them a fresher feeling. It is advised that you do not wear your dentures overnight unless you have a specific reason you need to leave them in. Due to wear and tear over time, as well as gum and bone changes, your Dentures may need to be refitted. You should have routine professional cleanings performed and dental visits to ensure that they are still working properly to support your smile.
The cost of Anchored Dentures in Miami will vary depending on the amount of corrective dental work needed and the patient’s overall oral health. Please schedule a consultation to receive a full estimate of costs and ask any questions you may have about your treatment.
