Food & drink
Until the tooth is fully restored
Choose softer foods and chew on the other side. Do not test the tooth by biting hard foods.
Avoid on the treated side
- Nuts, ice, hard crusts, and other hard foods.
- Sticky sweets or gum that can pull at a temporary filling.
Once your restoration is complete
Your dentist will tell you when you can return to normal chewing. Let us know if the bite feels too high.
Medical emergency? Call 911 for trouble breathing or swallowing, rapidly spreading swelling, fainting, or other life-threatening symptoms. Do not wait for an office reply. Emergency guidance
Your doctor’s instructions take priority. If you had more than one procedure, ask your team which instructions to follow. Contact your office.
