Aftercare instructions
Follow these instructions alongside the personal plan you received at your appointment.
Clear aligners
- Aligners are usually worn for 20–22 hours daily; follow your assigned schedule.
- Change to the next tray only when directed.
- Rinse in cool water and clean as instructed. Avoid hot water and abrasive toothpaste.
- Keep trays in their case whenever they are out.
Retainers
- Wear exactly as prescribed; teeth can move after active treatment ends.
- Clean in cool water and keep away from heat, including a hot car.
- If the retainer cracks or stops fitting, do not force it. Contact us.
Medical emergency? Call 911 for trouble breathing or swallowing, rapidly spreading swelling, fainting, or other life-threatening symptoms. Do not wait for an office reply. Emergency guidance
Your doctor’s instructions take priority. If you had more than one procedure, ask your team which instructions to follow. Contact your office.
